Sextante

Description

SEXTANTE ("Sistema EXTremeño de ANálisis TErritorial" in Spanish) is a free library of algorithms for spatial analysis which is integrated as an extension in gvSIG Desktop.

SEXTANTE has a geoprocess manager, a command line, a batch processing manager, a model generator and a history of commands executed by the user so that the processes can be repeated easily.

Some of the tools in SEXTANTE include functionalities for: pattern analysis, hydrological analysis, geostatistics, geomorphometry and relief analysis, analysis and calculation of raster layers, lighting and visibility, optimal location of elements, fuzzy logic, profiles, rasterization and interpolation, image processing and analysis, vegetation indices, indices and other hydrologic parameters and so on.
